Energy Game by Adidas is a floral fragrance for women launched in 2008, celebrating the Olympic Games of the mentioned year. This limited edition comprises top notes such as green apple, litchi and orange, middle notes like magnolia, osmanthus, basil and lotus, ending with the woody accords of musk.

Aqua Allegoria Pamplelune by Guerlain was launched in 1999 and it`s a citrusy delicious scent. It opens with a mixture of lemon, grapefruit and bergamot , then it develops with the aid of some petit grain and black currant, ending triumphantly with vanilla, sandalwood and patchouli.

We continue our fragrant trip with Bali Sunrise by Girard, a floral fruity scent dedicated to distant beaches and lounging careless in the sun. This vacation-like breeze is made of pear, grapefruit, orange, mandarin orange and Amalfi lemon as top notes-what a delicious cocktail, followed by a trio of flowers-jasmine, lily and tincture of rose and it ends with some woody notes, among them sandalwood, musk, patchouli and vetyver.

Eau D`Energie by Biotherm is a floral fruity scent launched in 2006.
Its top notes are citruses, orange and mandarin orange, middle notes are apricot, jasmine and cyclamen, final notes are musk and cedar.

Les Nuits D`Hadrien by Annick Goutal belongs to the citrus aromatic olfactive group, but what strikes you most at a first glance is the stylish bottle, both coquette and girly. Launched in 2003, this fragrance is a wonderful blend of Artemisia, Sicilian bergamot and green mandarin as top notes, then basil, caraway, cypress and juniper as middle notes and ending with amber, vanilla, patchouli and musk.

Awaiting For the Spring Awakening

Winter`s on its way and I`m guessing you already miss the spring with its green scents that awaken the senses.

I thought that I could uplift your mood by introducing a few greenish perfumes to you.

Green grass..hmmm...what would you say about High Line Bond No 9 Perfume? With its irresistible bottle, this one is aimed at capturing the beauty of the prairie wildness. Top notes consist of rhubarb, grass and bergamot, followed by a heart made of pink tulip, African orange flower, hyacinth and tincture of rose and ending with oak extract.

Enigma by Alexandra of Markoff is an oriental woody launched back in 1972. Among its top notes, I might mention the use of aldehydes, green grass, coriander, bergamot and allspice, then the floral middle notes like rose, carnation and jasmine and base notes such as oakmoss, spices, amber, patchouli and also woody notes.
Perfumes that contain fern extract are mainly addressed to men.

Felci by L`Erbolario is an enticing aromatic fougere.

Lancome`s Miracle Homme L`Aquatonic is a citrus aromatic cologne that was launched in 2003. Top notes are violet, citruses and bitter orange, middle notes a mixture of rhubarb leaf, coriander and fern, while the ending blends together Brazilian rosewood, guaiac wood, cedar and vetiver. You may as well wear it during summer.

Gant Liquid by Gant is a woody aromatic fragrance launched in 2007 and it features notes like nutmeg, patchouli, violet, musk, pepper, lavender, tonka bean, melon, fern and Brazilian rosewood.

Fruity anyone?

It is generally believed that fruity perfumes smell delicious. It must be a true statement, since they kinda remind of us of our childhood and what`s better than that?

Take for example Ibiza Hippie from Escada. With top notes such as pear, peach, cassia, black currant and litchi, it`s no wonder you would crave for it and who could blame you? Its middle notes are cranberry, freesia and hiacynth and it ends with sandalwood, musk and amber. Plus the bright bottle, which is by now the Escada trademark.

Salvador Dali`s Purple Lips is an oriental floral fragrance. One of the top notes is blueberry and the other is pomegranate. Now, how yummy is that? Then comes the heart of the perfume, a floral combination of lilac, vanilla orchid and violet. The fragrance closes with a woody mixture of musk, sandalwood and amber. The sensual and elegant purple bottle should make you consider purchasing this one.

Cherry by Masaki Matsushima was launched in 2007 in honor of the cherry blossom. It`s a blend of cherry blossom, raspberry, sweet pea, blackcurrant, watermelon, musk, cassia, blueberry and lotus. Lovely packaging, meant to symbolize the romantic breeze of spring.

Magical Moon by Hanae Mori comes in a really cool bottle and I say this since a huge fan of blue color, it is a representation of the moon and its mystery. It`s an oriental floral launched in 2006, created as an “ ode to the white star “. Among the top notes I should mention the pineapple, litchi and guava, carambola and pink pepper, middle notes are rose, orange blossom and osmanthus. It ends with a mixture of coconut milk, incense, sandalwood, sugar cane, red cedar, cotton flower, white musk and also patchouli.

Ed Hardy Hearts & Daggers by Christian Audigier is one of the perfumes from the collection inspired by the famous Ed Hardy and it was launched in November 2009. Blood orange, violet leaf and red apple are its top notes, followed by a heart of apple blossom, jasmine and mango and ending with amber, woodsy notes, benzoin and musk. Vivid packaging.

Honey & Milk

The title brings to mind breakfast time, right?

Well, that`s actually not what I have in mind for this article, these two are actually notes of the perfumes I will present in the next few lines.

We start with Poison Tendre by Dior, a floral fragrance that unites insolence with charm. Created in 1994, its top notes are Brazilian rosewood, mandarin orange, asafoetida and bergamot, then comes a heart of tuberose, orange blossom, rose, honey and freesia, while the end is composed of sandalwood, heliotrope, vanilla and musk. The nose behind this magical creation is Edouard Flechier.

Soir de Lune by Sisley is a chypre floral fragrance, elegant and intense. It starts with nutmeg, coriander, lemon, bergamot, pepper oil and mandarin orange, followed by peach, lily-of-the-valley, orris, mimose and may rose and ends with a blend of patchouli, honey, oakmoss, musk and sandalwood. The rounded facetted bottle was created by Polish sculptor Bronislaw Krzysztof.

Terra by Paolo Gigli was launched in the autumn of 2009 and is part of a collection of four perfumes , each dedicated to the four main elements of nature, fire, air, water and earth. The bottles are little works of art, each made of the finest Venetian glass, they are colored by hand and are decorated with gems and 24 carat gold. Terra features among its top notes lemon, coconut, strawberry and milk, the heart is a blend of jasmine, lily-of-the-valley, sunflower, orchid and rose, while the base is strongly oriental, with a composition of green amber, vanilla, cedar, sandalwood and white musk.

M`Zelle Vanille Chocolat By Corine de Farme is a delicious oriental vanilla fragrance dedicated to the sweetest notes- tender vanilla and milk chocolate. It is an amazing mixture of milk, toffee and hazelnut, but also vanilla and chocolate at the base. It sounds more like a sweet treat to me.

Fragrant Dreams

We go on with our list of fragrant recommendations for you with Escada S by Escada, a perfume created to celebrate the adventurous spirit of every woman. Bazar Summer Fragrance New by Christian Lacroix`s bottle is what has first drawn my attention to it, it`s actually really pretty. A sweet, floral fruity perfume with top notes like pepper, red currant and almond blossom, middle notes such as rose, chamomile and mimose and ending with heliotrope, vanilla, sandalwood and musk. It was launched in 2004.

Eclat D`Orient by Isabel Derroisne belongs to the floral aldehyde olfactive group and was introduced in 2009. It`s a surprising blend of freesia, bergamot, yuzu, rice, wild jasmine, almond blossom , bamboo, white musk and sandalwood.

Another novelty for the year 2010 is Zen Eau de Parfum by Shiseido which is a limited edition in a cyclamen-purple bottle. Suitable for summer, it reflects the essence of a summer night. It is a fusion between citrusy notes such as lime and citruses, flowers like lily-of-the-valley, freesia, jasmine, tuberose, lotus, rose, mimose and almond blossom and a base which gathers cedar, musk and Virginia cedar. The bottle claims to symbolize the harmony between body and soul.

Anna Sui Perfumes – Lovely Childish Fragrances for Ladies

Imagine yourself a world full of fairies and a river of sweets flowing down the way. This is what I think of when I hear one of Anna Sui’s perfumes.

One of the newest creations of Anna Sui is Flight of Fancy, a romantic blend of litchi, lemon and yuzu in the top notes and a woody – musky base. The peacock bottle cap is a sensational element of this glamorous packaging. Flight of Fancy is a light fruity fragrance, suitable for daywear.

The fairy perfume by Anna Sui – Secret Wish – is also a fruity fragrance. The lovely bottles hides notes like melon, peach, lemon and pineapple followed by woodsy elements like cedar and oak moss. The scent is very light and frankly a bit disappointing for what you would normally expect. It is rather suitable for the young target.

The ‘hippie’ Sui Love is a lovely fruity - floral fragrance. The perfume is less sweet than other Anna Sui scents. The perfume opens with Japanese Osmanthus, passion fruit, orange and apple and then develops into a more spicy fragrance because the pink pepper in the middle notes. Sui Love dries down with a combination of mush, nutmeg and vanilla. The bottle is very nice, probably Mariah (Carey) has one on her perfume collection. It is suitable for vacation time.

The purple Dolly Girl Bonjour L'Amour opens with an interesting cinnamon note, followed by some exotic notes like Texas rosewwod, Florida grapefruit, Italian melon (yummy!), orris root, coconut and amber. It is a unique scent you will not forget easily. It is a playful fragrance suitable for romantic dates.

The last but not least is an oriental vanilla called Sui Dreams. The lock – like blue bottle is a strange combination of fresh notes and vanilla. It is a creamy fragrance, not an ordinary vanilla scent you can buy everywhere. The bad part is that it doesn’t last very long, in fact you will need to carry the bottle with you if you want to wear it at a party.

Diesel Perfumes –Wild Fragrances for Active Women

Diesel is one of the most innovative and daring perfume designers. Intriguing fragrances are captured inside of some daring perfume bottles which make me sniff them over and over again.

Because I consider Diesel to be on the top of my favorite perfume designers list, I have came up with a list of the best Diesel fragrances I’m sure you will enjoy.

I was truly captured by the smell of Diesel Fuel for Life Unlimited that was released in 2008. The combination of bergamot and lemon comes in contrast with the white flowers notes in the end. This is one sexy perfume that needs to be worn confident attitude.

Next on my list in one controversial perfume called Diesel Green Feminine. The fragrance has an unconventional aroma you will either love or hate. The ‘weird’ combination of lime, carnation, cinnamon and rose ends with musky - vanilla - cedar notes to create a complex, yet somehow masculine fragrance. It is suitable for active women.

Plus Plus Feminine is an oriental floral perfume with a soft and creamy hint of vanilla base. This perfume was released in 2004. It is perfect as a gift for lovely young ladies or romantic women.

The next perfume is suitable for gourmand fragrance lovers. Diesel Zero Plus Feminine is rich scent that combines fruits – pineapple, red apple, and bitter orange – with floral notes – magnolia, iris, orchid, lily-of-the-valley and Moroccan rose – and a series of powerful aromatic notes like white musk, amber, vanilla, and cinnamon. It’s the perfect perfume for the seductress inside you.

The last perfume that captivated my nose is Fuel for Life Summer, a fragrance released this year. The limited pink edition is a lovely combination of musk, jasmine, black currant, and delicate rose.
