John Varvatos has created a decidedly masculine scent. The Artisan Black Edition is a dark woodsy and bolder scent than the original Artisan fragrance. The scent is refreshing and evolves when it dries into woodsy and leather undertones. The packaging is equally as impressive. Hand woven black rattan houses the bottle.
